Hola! I'm Gonzalo
Originally from Chile 🇨🇱, I'm an engineer with a Master's in Public Administration. I'm currently working at Palantir Technologies, where I implement AI solutions for healthcare and engage in outreach initiatives in Chile.
I'm passionate about using data, software, and AI to tackle societal challenges. Over the past decade, I've worked on education and healthcare projects in both the private and public sectors.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to advise Chile's Ministry of Health. Leading a dedicated team, we developed software and research to track the virus's spread, predict hospital admissions, and estimate vaccine effectiveness. Our work informed critical government decisions, enabling timely interventions like confinement measures and patient reallocations.
Since 2021, I've collaborated with Professor Dan Levy at Harvard University to develop software that supports teaching and learning by leveraging NLP capabilities. Our tools have been adopted by various professors, positively impacting over 2,000 Harvard students.
I earned my Engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2016 and a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University in 2022, where I was honored to be a Gleitsman Fellow.
